Attaching this to the foot joint of your flute will change the blowing sensation, tone quality, and volume.
* May be difficult to attach to instruments with special wall thicknesses.
Basically, align the key post of the foot joint to 12 o'clock on a clock, and attach the flute speed so that its opening is between 10 and 11 o'clock.
Additionally, aligning the center of the slit between 7 and 8 o'clock will result in a darker tone, while aligning it between 10 and 11 o'clock will result in a brighter tone.
I used this about 10 times, but I'm selling it because I got a new flute and no longer need it.
